About

Design for a world that hasn't quite arrived yet.

I'm a UX and product design leader who spends a lot of time thinking about where the field is going, and what it means to lead a design team through a moment of genuine disruption. Most of my work sits at the intersection of product strategy, design systems, and the question nobody has fully answered yet: what does great design look like when the interface might not exist at all?

I'm currently Director of UX Design at a healthcare staffing company, where I lead an organization of UX professionals building products that connect healthcare providers with the organizations that need them. Day to day, that means design strategy, cross-functional partnership with product and engineering, and building out the design system that will serve as the foundation for AI-driven development. I've worked across startups and enterprise, in industries ranging from healthcare to fintech to consumer software. The problems change. The core question: does this actually work for the person using it? It never does.

The through-line in all of it: I'm drawn to the edge cases, the moments where the conventional design playbook doesn't quite fit. AI-native products, zero-UI experiences, systems where the “interface” is a conversation or a recommendation or a moment of ambient awareness. These aren't edge cases for long.

Based in Salt Lake City. Outside of work, I'm usually outside, which is the best argument I know for living here.

What I'm thinking about

  • ·Ephemeral interfaces. Experiences that exist only as long as they're needed.
  • ·What “information architecture” means when the model decides the structure.
  • ·How design teams need to evolve to stay strategically relevant, not just technically capable.
  • ·The gap between how designers are trained and what the next decade will actually require.

Open to

I'm open to consulting engagements, speaking opportunities, and mentoring conversations, particularly with teams navigating AI adoption, design systems, or the evolving role of UX in product organizations. If something here resonates, reach out.
